A poem by SOPHIE MEADOWS.
“Women have served all these centuries as looking glasses possessing the magic and delicious power of reflecting the figure of man at twice its natural size.”
― Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own
A broken vase, glass glitter shards,
Yours to reflect and magnify:
Clear without your features,
Cool without your sun and
Shattered by your touch.
Clench me in your palm and
I will wound you.
Throw me in the sea and
You will lose me.
Try to mend me and
The cracks will show like veins.
