After the sold out success of our first collab back in January, SAVAGE and Rare FM team up once again.
This time we’re just down the road at The Social, a fantastic independent venue that’s been serving up a whole host of great bands and DJs. Our takeover will bring you a punch-packing load of both.
Opening the night is Hussy, with her dislocating psychpunk. She’s been gigging incessantly on the London scene, drawing a considerable following. Early birds are in for a treat.
At the moment, Oxford’s Self Help are the biggest thing coming out of the musically overachieving city. They’ve got no interest in doom-glooming – more Idles than Shame – so don’t miss out on being down at the front for their jaggedy pop wranglings.
Famous headline the live element. The wacky five piece recently gifted us their first single ‘Surfs Up’, a bubblegum pop nightmare that traverses from manageable eerie guitar motifs to intense bass octaves on the piano. The single preempts their eagerly anticipated EP so we’ve snatched them at the perfect moment.
On the decks we’ve got Glows and CHAR. The former is a rising star live artist and DJ, main support for Sorry at the Windmill Brixton’s Independent Venue bash, as well as the man behind Slow Dance. One of Rare FM’s homegrown, CHAR will be closing the night with some electronic tunes.
