SAVAGE Sounds in collaboration with UFO Baby Promotions at The Lock Tavern.
On the 21st February, Savage brings you a night of music at Camden’s Lock Tavern with London promoter UFO Baby. You can find the event here.
Heading the night are BARBUDO, providing psych-dripped funk and soul for a dream-like daze of jangled guitars and rainbow rhythms: ‘free your mind and your ass will follow’, or so they tell us. See them performing ‘My Only’ in a live session for Paper Machete in the video below. You can also take a look at their 2016 EP on Bandcamp.
Opening SAVAGE Sounds are Brazen Head: lo-fi guitar driven pop above pushing synth from the depths of South Wimbledon — a supergroup of members from Lou E, Posture and Big Nothing providing layers of melancholy vocals, nice smiles and a wide variety of hair lengths.
We’re also excited to present The Well Rested , playing their take on shimmering DIY indie-pop — a hybrid of digital and analogue with wandering vocals accompanied by surf guitar and gospel synths. Check out their latest release here, or find their Youtube below:
Alongside the bands DJs NRB and Cool Ron, aka Post-Truth Soundsystem, will be bringing you savage (and soothing) riddims from the global underground into the early hours.
Find the event on Facebook for more details, and check out UFO Baby Promotions.
