Taylor Barker’s wandering guitar notes may lull you into a sort of serenity at the start of her latest track Calm, but it soon kicks into a punchy alt-rock anthem that’ll make you nod your head in approval to the beat. Her vocals are mellow and melodic – a little Lucy Rose-esque, carrying messages of uncertainty, loneliness and longing over a John Meyer influenced riff. We love her Hawaiian shirts too.
