Fleur Elkerton’s work is reminiscent of the paintings of Egon Schiele: focusing on the use of line through ink and collage to produce an image of the human form which is both beautiful and uncanny.
“Layers and tonal elements are integral to my work, I use collage and ink frequently, but in more recent times I have been experimenting with digital editing and drawing, blending minimalism with a sense of textural fulfilment . I find inspiration mostly from the human figure, not just the face and the body, but the negative spaces inbetween”.
