The end of lockdown made me really think about privilege and luck. This short series taken on my phone is a love letter to my hometown of Nice, in the south of France. I’m extremely thankful to have had the chance to grow up in that area, to have been quarantined here and to be able to spend a lot of time here.
Making this series also reminded me that there is beauty in our day-to-day and in the things that are familiar to us. Making art is self-care for me. Moreover, it obliges me to be in the moment as well as to focus on what’s going on around me and practice gratefulness.
