PATRICK MATTHEWSON AND HOLLY HUDSON talk Klubbing for Karma.
One of the most unique events on the student night circuit, ‘Karma Klub’ serves up an eclectic mix of performers, with all proceeds given to charity.
Their line-up for this Saturday night includes the well-known Skelecta’s grime and garage sound. After messing around with some ‘future garage’, Skelecta’s EP ‘Sublow’ emerged from the underground grime scene to make waves on Radio 1. As well as James’ Messiah’s powerhouse poetry and the up and coming jungle duo TwoTone, whose hypnotics rhythms have seen them playing at some of London’s finest. Coupled with legendary Sista Sista founder Gracie Fletcher and Karma Klub regular Malleus, this Saturday 18th at Portobello Flyover promises to be an unmissable night.
Moreover, Karma Klub is an event set up by students for students, straying away from the tragic Moonies madness and offering a new and distinctive Saturday night experience, and – as all proceeds go to charity – your karma is going sky-high.
On the 18th, in three days time, Karma Klub have chosen to support Hostage UK. In the face of a summer haunted by hostage images and videos, such as that of James Foley, going viral, Karma Klub’s charity of choice provide both emotional and practical support for the victims of kidnapping and their families. A charity more than worth of our support.
