DANI SMITH explores the idea that the ‘canvas’ can become sculptural, and that the passive can become active and violent.

“I’d say that good art should ask questions rather than answer them, if it provokes you cerebrally or emotionally it shouldn’t matter if its origins or motives are unclear. Not to say that I favor conceptual/sculptural/digital/painted work, they all have their merits. I just feel that art should have as sense of substance – regardless of beauty.”
