Composed and recorded in the isolation of the Austrian mountains, the EP is the culmination of his writing over the last few years – taking 6 months to fully complete. Martin says that ‘by not going into a proper studio I could focus on the quality of my songs and performance without the time and financial pressure of a studio. That for me was a big part of the experience – to spend more time getting to know my songs and trying to work out how to make it sound best’. Perfected with minimal effects in Munich, Bergblick remains raw and organic, preserving the authentic live sound of solo acoustic guitar.
