SOPHIA COMPTON and BECKY KELLS discuss their submission for this year’s Eye Want Change competition.
“The transmission of affect explains how people’s thought processes change and homogenise in crowds, which can lead to humans being lost in plain sight in the busy life of the city. The aim is to remind each other that the crowds we pass through each day are comprised of humans, and deserving of attention and respect. We want to remember that as children we were alert and engaged and to retain that mentality into adulthood, in order to materially alter the spaces we pass through.”
Vote for entrants here until the end of Friday 11 March.
